The Scherer Bros. team has won more Trillium awards than any other closet company in the Twin Cities.
We don’t mean to brag. (Well, maybe we do.) But we’re proud of their ingenuity and combined decades of experience.
Angie is a believer that the power of organization can transform daily life. With a BA in Interior Design and trained eye for function, she is regularly recognized for projects in the Artisan, Luxury, and Parade of Homes Tours. She loves the variety of experiences and opportunities each day provides. Angie has always enjoyed getting clients excited about their projects, initially as a lighting designer and then as a closet designer at Scherer Bros. since 2013. In her free time, you can find Angie chasing after her two little boys, enjoying the Minnesota outdoors in all seasons, and cozying up with a good book.
It was the creative part of the job that initially steered Madolyn toward a career in closet design. Now a designer for 20 years, she still loves the artistic challenge of creating stunning closets for her clients. She enjoys every step of the process, from getting to know each client and educating them about how different accessories and styles might suit their home and lifestyle, to carefully puzzle-piecing their selections together into a final design. When not at work, Madolyn is an avid hiker, and she loves fishing in Montana and Northern Minnesota.
A closet designer since 1999, Kristi loves collaborating with her clients and the challenge of turning a blank space into one that is both functional and beautiful. Finding the best storage solutions, all while staying within a builder’s budget allowances, is a balancing act she deftly manages every day. She is her son’s biggest cheerleader at his basketball and baseball games, and when he zips past with his mountain bike team. Kristi enjoys yoga, boating, and mountain biking. She recently adopted a little Maltese-Yorkie mix named Tooty.
Marc thrives on transforming a space into an inviting and balanced organizational structure. His career began with degrees in marketing and business and now spans 30 years in architecture, closet design, and space planning. He says the three legs of his “Success Stool” have been: creative design, exceptional value, and superior project management. He believes the art of listening is a very important component in the design process. When he’s not designing custom spaces, Marc enjoys discovering new restaurants, traveling to other countries, and spending time with his family.
After your design is finalized, skilled artisans build your custom storage solutions locally, at our shop right behind our showroom, in Brooklyn Park. This convenient location creates efficiency. When our designers have a unique idea for customizing a client’s project, they can simply walk over to the shop and brainstorm with a team leader in manufacturing. And if, in a year or two, you decide you want to add an extra shelf in your closet, you can call your designer and pick up the new component within a short period of time since we manufacture our own products, locally.
Installation is included with all of our storage solutions. Our dedicated installers are not contract employees, but part of our team at Scherer Bros. They’re the best in the business, and work on high-end homes throughout the Twin Cities area. If you’ve built a home before, you know that the closets are the last thing to go in, after the painting, trim work, and carpeting is complete. Our installers work with diligent care not to damage all this freshly completed work. They will install your storage solution to perfection, and then clean up when the job is done. When your closets are finished, your home feels like it’s complete.
